don't wait for me
i'm retired with an advanced degree
called a Pr.D.

overwhelmed with a mound of nothing to do
i think i'll nap or watch tv
after surfing the internet mindlessly

i know i said
you could count on me
but now i count all the things i see...
a pile of excuses abounds,
a mountain of things i'd rather do
than keep my word to you
