"MEDICAL MASK MYSTERY"

Warm breath caress my chin.
Vapour of life trapped within.
Cloth covers a potential threat.
Tied around my ears and neck.

Stripes of green crossing white.
Metal strip fits my proboscis tight.
Now you're safe from anything
The air from me to you might bring.

I hold the instrument in my hand tight
And wake up when you turn on the light.

Before I woke, I answered a ring,
An imaginary patient calling in.
With a breath in my brain
My glasses fogged
And I dropped the dental mirror,
And my foot's reflection cracked
With the luminescent flash
As you sent filament flaming
In my psyche
With a thunder crash.
