In a headlong rush,
The Locomotive of Infatuation
Tears across my heart.
Churn, churn, churn,
Turn, turn, turn,
The Wheels of Anticipation
Form a frantic rhythm
On tracks with no direction.

Love
Is tied to his seat
In a passenger car.
Infatuation holds a calendar to Love's head.
"Give me the girl now,
And I'll let you live!"
Infatuation screams.

In a headlong rush,
The Locomotive of Infatuation
Crashes through the girl's heart,
Tearing it to shreds;
And Infatuation then wonders why
She has no feelings for him.

Love asks,
"How can she feel
Anything
When you've destroyed her heart
In your headlong rush?"

Infatuation fumes,
And Love mourns.
