I see you sitting on a bench,
But it's not you.
She's just a fantasy.

I'm longing for you in the shopping mall.
You walk toward me,
But it's not you.
You're hundreds of miles away.

I'm wishing for my friend of former bliss,
But I'm trapped in Today,
And I cry these dry tears
In the Desert of My Loneliness.

I think I've found you in the open air.
The sunlight's dancing in your hair.
I call out your name in my mind.
Somehow you hear my inner voice and turn to me.
But it's not you.
She's just another look-alike.

Somewhere in your distant town,
My carbon copy counterpart may be found.
But it's not me.
He's just a fantasy.
