Crying in the purple suction of words • They told you
help is a dead man's dream • They lied and you--the
trusting child you are--believed them • So never will
you know what it's like to swim muscle by muscle
pounding your way through the splashing water--life in
liquid form--drink up adventure--hard work works
hard toward the dream and almost touches grasping at
air--an inch from victory--until a muscle stretches in
final force tearing and gold is seized--the pain of
tortured tendons and a torn muscle immediately forgotten
in the joy of anticipation quenched in reality • But
never will you know what it's like to seize the
impossible • They told you life is a dead man's dream •
And you believed them
