downtrodden sounds
rise up to form a symphony

hurt feelings
join with hope to heal a wound

ideas
wait for inspiration's appointed time

fairies dance
on the head of a pin
while the angels' backs are turned

the full moon
shines down on lunatics
and wolves who've thrown their sheep's clothing aside

the babbling brook
never stops talking
and two evergreen trees stand in love,
side by side at the water's edge,
each one saying to the other,
"My evergreen,
Next to me,
I pine for thee."
