magnetic words
ATTRACT
and
REPEL

go to your
refrigerator
and play with words
on a magnetic surface
but avoid the tempting food inside

find a world
where ideas scramble
like eggs

as you magnetize the word
TOAST
to the fridge's metallic surface
you see your reflection in
the metallic side of the toaster
and long for a slice of bread
and a slice of life
crisp but not burned
to take your mind off of
scrambling words like eggs
on the side of a fridge
when even life's answers
just bring more questions
and hopes achieved will
bring more dreams

these words mean everything
or nothing
or something in between

open the fridge
and eat
if you want to
